About Us

KMR Fine Carpentry is owned and operated by Kevin Riling.  His journey in construction began at an early age, well over 20 years ago.  Summers were spent wheeling concrete, assisting stone masons, and ultimately finding the opportunity to perform all phases of residential construction, from framing to finishes, working for a contractor flipping houses.  As seasonal work continued, the satisfaction derived from building something with his own hands only grew.  During college, he spent one summer working with his brother on celebrity homes in California.  

After graduating from Lehigh University in 2007, Kevin soon co-founded a construction company that focused on residential renovations.  Over the next decade, his company completed countless custom kitchen remodels alongside a top-notch designer.  With a constant curiosity and desire to learn more however, Kevin then shifted careers and spent several years as a project superintendent for a national commercial & industrial construction company.   While he enjoyed this role, leading dozens or hundreds of workers on large scale, ground-up construction, the yearning for a more creative outlet and return to tools-in-hand would not wane.  

He officially founded KMR Fine Carpentry in 2022 to reignite his purpose, revive his spirit, and follow his passion for building things both beautiful and functional.
